David began his entrepreneurial career, while still in University, by starting a personal training business. Upon graduation, he parlayed his sales and customer service skills into the dental sales industry, and quickly rose to management. However, he soon realized he needed to follow his passion in order to feel truly fulfilled. Real Estate was an easy decision, as it married his love of architecture and design with his sales and customer service background. Today, David is the consummate real estate professional. Recognized by his industry and peers, he quickly achieved the highest-level awards and rose to referral-only status. His success is due in equal parts to who he is as a person and the depth of his real estate knowledge. Working as a team with his clients, he ensures they are meticulously equipped to make the most informed decisions possible, and would never advise them to do something he wouldn’t do himself.
An interesting upbringing - moving from downtown Toronto to a rural Muskoka community - gave Jonathan a unique opportunity to experience his childhood at two very different speeds. After university in Ottawa, he returned to Toronto and began what would become a 10 year career in the financial services industry. Various customer service roles led to increasingly senior supervisory positions. While this provided Jonathan with valuable people and business skills, evidenced by years of positive accolades from clients, it ultimately wasn’t his passion. Both of Jonathan’s parents built successful real estate businesses in Muskoka, and seeing their dedication to client care and helping people through an exciting, but often stressful time in their lives, inspired him to explore a new and exciting career path. At dutton+co, Jonathan sees a distinct similarity in the way David approaches his business and treats his clients with how his parents operated. Joining David and dutton+co provides Jonathan the opportunity to learn first-hand from someone who truly understands what it means to put the customer first. Coming from a sales and customer service background, Takara’s passion for helping others and building relationships brought her to Dutton+co. She has been managing client relationships and marketing for the team for the past few years, delivering superior customer service, handling listing logistics, building out marketing initiatives, and building community through our social media channels.
